- Will I get a receipt with my order?
Tickled Green Baby will send a receipt to the email address you provide at checkout. Please retain it for your records. If, at checkout, you indicate your order is a gift, we will include a paper gift receipt with your order. - What if I change my mind or want to cancel my order?
When your order is placed you will receive email confirmation that your order is being processed. If you require changes to your order, please Contact Us as soon as possible. If your order has been shipped, it must be processed as a return. - Can I see some of your products in person?
If you live in a designated region of the Durham Region (Ontario, Canada), we are happy to provide product consultations (view map of qualifying region). Contact Us to request a consultation. - Can you special order out-of-stock items for me?
In the event an item you would like is out of stock, please Contact Us with details of your desired order. We may be able to make a special order for you (at no additional charge).
Gift Certificates
- Do you have Gift Certificates?
Yes. We have gift certificates available in any amount starting at $25. (Taxes do not apply to gift certificate purchases.) - What does a Gift Certificate look like?
Our gift certificates are an email containing your purchase details and a gift certificate redemption code. You have the option of forwarding the email gift certificate to the recipient or printing the gift certificate to slip into a card. - Do Gift Certificates expire?
No. - How do I redeem a Gift Certificate?
Enter the Gift Certificate Redemption Code in the designated box at checkout, and select your alternate method of payment for any balance owing. The order must be made by the person identified on the Gift Certificate. - What if I don't use all of my gift certificate in one purchase?
Your remaining balance will be emailed to you for use with a future purchase.

- Do you have a gift registry?
Yes! We are pleased to offer a gift registry service and trust that you, your family and friends will find it easy to use. - How do I let my friends and family know I have a registry?
Once you have created your registry, you have the option of sending an email notification to your friends and family. - How and where will my gifts be shipped?
Gifts are shipped via Canada Post Expedited Parcel. Whether gifts are shipped directly to you or given to you by the gift-giver depends on the purchaser. (If you are a local resident, you may choose to waive shipping costs for gift-givers by selecting Local Pickup of Gifts during creation of a Gift Registry.) - How long will my registry be available?
Gift registries stay active for one year unless otherwise requested by the registrant.
Coupons, Discount Codes and Special Offers
- How do I get a coupon, discount code or special offer?
Sign up for our free monthly e-newsletter to receive free coupons, discount codes and special offers for our merchandise. - How do I use a coupon, discount code or special offer code?
At the time of checkout, enter your coupon code, discount code or special-offer code in the designated box. Your order total will be adjusted accordingly. - Can I combine coupon, discount and special-offer codes?
No. Only one code is applicable per transaction. The code must be entered at the time of checkout and conditions of use for the code must be met. - Are there any other restrictions?
Coupons have no cash value and cannot be applied towards previous and pending orders. Coupons, discount codes and special offers cannot be combined, used towards package deals or products that are on sale, nor can they be used towards the purchase of gift certificates. - Do coupons, discount codes and special offers expire?
Unless otherwise noted, all coupons, discount codes and special offers expire 30 days from the date of issue.
Cloth Diapers
- Are cloth diapers more expensive than disposables?
While cloth diapers involve an initial investment, you should expect to save money by cloth diapering a child from birth to potty-training compared to using disposable diapers in that same period of time. You may even be able to reuse your cloth diapers for another baby, getting even more value for your money. - How many cloth diapers do I need?
This depends on your baby 's age, how often you plan on laundering your diapers and whether using cloth diapers full-time or part-time. Here are some guidelines if using cloth diapers full-time and laundering diapers every two days:- Newborns: 24-30 diapers
- Older babies (6-18 months): 18 diapers
- Toddlers: 12 diapers
We do not recommend a larger stash for the purpose of laundering diapers less often than three days. (The longer you let your soiled diapers sit in the pail, the greater the chances the urine will break down the diaper fibers.) - Can you travel with cloth diapers?
Yes. We recommend travelling with a small waterproof wet bag to contain soiled diapers. When you get home, simply throw the soiled diaper and wet bag into your diaper pail or washing machine. - How often will I have to do diaper laundry?
You will probably want to wash your cloth diapers every two or three days. It will become part of your weekly routine. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's directions. - What kind of laundry detergent should I use?
It is very important to use a laundry detergent that is free of any additives such as fabric softener, chlorine bleach, phosphates, enzymes, brighteners, dyes and fragrances. - What else do I need for cloth diapering?
- Cloth wipes – much nicer on baby's skin than disposable wipes, which contain several harsh chemicals; simply throw them in the wash with your diapers
- Diaper pail – a hanging diaper pail (has a sturdy loop for hanging on a doorknob or change table) stores soiled diapers without taking up floor space; throw it in the wash with your diapers
- Wet bag – pack in your diaper bag for storing soiled diapers while out of the house; also handy for storing wet swim diapers
- Hemp inserts – for extra absorbency in pocket diapers at nighttime
- Tea tree oil – eliminate odours in your hanging diaper pail by adding a few drops of tea tree oil to the inner fabric swatch or to a cloth wipe placed in the pail
- How can I maximize the life of my cloth diapers?
Just like regular clothing, cloth diapers wear out over time. (Imagine washing your favourite T-shirt several times a week for 2 years on high heat then put in the dryer.) Here are suggestions for maximizing the life of your cloth diapers:- Have plenty of diapers in your rotation so you are not washing the same diapers each wash day. Three days worth of diapers is most desirable.
- Wash diapers every two days (three days maximum). The longer soiled diapers sit in the pail, the more likely the urine will weaken the diaper fibers.
- Before putting your diapers in the pail separate the components. For example, pull the insert out of the pocket diaper, then put both items in the pail.
- Protect the longevity of velcro closures by attaching them firmly to the laundry tabs before throwing them in the wash.
- Avoid diaper creams, lotions and oils when using cloth diapers. Many of these have ingredients that can weaken the fibers and elastics in the diapers over time.
- Air-dry your diapers as much as possible. If not, dry them on low heat because drying on high heat all the time may shorten the lifespan of the elastic.
- Use an appropriate detergent (see above, #5) and avoid build-up by ensuring an adequate rinse of detergent from diapers.
- Do not use bleach, which will break down the diaper fibers.
- Keep in mind your water type may also influence how quickly your diaper fibers deteriorate, with hard water being more damaging.
- When storing your cloth diapers, keep them in a place where the temperature and humidity does not fluctuate.
